Southeast Technical College is committed to student success and wants to connect students to resources in the community outside the scope of what is available on campus. Several organizations in Sioux Falls are available to assist in a mental health crisis, as well as provide access to diapers, food pantries, transportation or even financial assistance with housing or bills.

for anyone who might be struggling with emotional distress, experiencing suicidal

The Compass Center
The Compass Center provides crisis intervention, counseling and advocacy to children,
adolescents and adults (both male and female) who are survivors of domestic/dating
violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse and human trafficking/sexual exploitation.
All survivor services are free and confidential, and the organization does not discriminate
on any basis.

Avera and Sanford Health
Both Avera and Sanford have walk-in acute care for physical and mental health assessments,
in various locations and hours.

Dress for Success
Dress for Success is a nonprofit organization affiliated with EmBe that empowers women
to achieve financial independence by providing professional attire, a network of support
and career coaching. Individuals interested in support should contact the Student
Success Center for a referral or stop by at their downtown location at 300 W. 11th
St. during Walk-in Wednesdays (1-3 p.m.).
